Biography

Teryl L.W. Sides is Senior Vice President and President, Vascular Interventions. Teri joined Surmodics in November 2018 as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, and she assumed responsibility for Product Development in April 2020. Prior to Surmodics, Teri served as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Projectory, a consulting firm that provides strategic marketing services to medtech clients. At Projectory, she provided services to Surmodics on business and product strategy, clinical trial management and drug-coated balloon development (including the SurVeil®, Avess™ and Sundance™ Drug-Coated Balloon programs). Prior to Projectory, Teri was the Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Arizant Inc., from 1998 to 2011. Acting as the chief architect for product and market growth strategies, she led development of industry-leading products, including the world’s first patient warming gown. Teri holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and has more than eight patents granted and several pending.
